We are dog friendly

If you're about to book your holiday at Sandbank and are bringing your dog, please ensure you reserve ground floor accommodation only unless your dog is a smaller breed. Thank you.

Several of our apartments and bungalows have their own enclosed gardens. This mean that you are free to let your dog in and out of the accommodation at will, happy in the knowledge that they are safe and secure within your own fenced-in area as they are at home.

Bowls of fresh water are strategically placed around the site to let them have a drink after their walk on the dunes. We have replaced a lot of the flooring within the accommodation to ensure that your dog doesn’t slip.

Within the dog friendly accommodation we like to provide plenty of up-to-date information on all the local dog-friendly beaches, pubs and attractions. If you find that you want to go somewhere your dog isn’t so welcome, we have details of a local dog-sitter who comes highly recommended by several of our regulars.

Sandbank Holidays is located within acres of grassy dunes where you and your dog are free to explore whilst enjoying the stunning scenery from miles of sandy beaches to St. Ives itself across the bay. Our nearest beach allows dogs all year (from Peter’s Point located between Gwithian and Hayle) and many of the remaining beaches allow dogs at certain times during the evenings and early mornings, so dogs have plenty of places where they can go for a dip in the sea, explore the rock pools and have a dig in the sand. If they've never seen a beach before, just watch their faces when they realise where they are!

Many of our local pubs actively welcome dogs (and their well-behaved owners), some even providing a biscuit or lump of cheese on arrival. Several attractions are happy to receive dogs on leads too.

There is an extra charge for bringing your dog, and this is used to cover the cleaning so that any guests who don’t have pets can be assured of spotless accommodation every time.
